Messages Tab:

The message board is where we write all our emails to you during the period of time that we are working on your project. We chose to use this system as it takes the same amount of time to respond to a client section message as it does to reply to a regular email in your inbox, yet it allows you to have all your project emails stored in one place. This saves valuable time when searching for project information in the future.

To reply to a message that your receive from us in your email inbox, you can hit Reply, and then type your response above the “—- Reply ABOVE THIS LINE to post a comment to the project —-. If you want to see the whole thread or need to upload an attachment in your reply, you can click on the link under this sentence: “Read the original message, view this comment, and download attachments at:”. Once you click on the link in your email, your Internet browser will open up and you’ll see a box just below the text of the last message that you received. Please enter your reply in there, and then hit post this comment and an email will be sent to anyone who’s been assigned to that message.

NOTE: The other option for uploading files is to click on the “Attach files to this message” link that you’ll see just below the box you type in when responding to a Client Section message.

Uploading Multiple Files

To upload multiple files you should add them to a folder and then zip them before you upload them to the Client Section. Zipping a file creates a compressed version of the file that is considerably smaller than the original. Also, by zipping a folder of files, you can upload or download them all at once to our client section, which saves time. Here’s how to do this:

On PCs:

  1. Create a folder and copy your files into the folder.
  2. Right click on the folder and then click on “Add to Zip file” or “Add to Archive” to zip the folder.

There are more instructions on zip files on the Microsoft office website.

NOTE: If your computer doesn’t have a program to compress files, “Winzip”: is a popular one that you can download a trial version of.

On Macs:

  1. Create a folder and copy your files into the folder.
  2. Right click on the folder and then click on “Create archive of ____”.
  3. You can send choose the zipped file when you browse on http://www.yousendit.com

Large Folders or Files

If your zipped folder is larger than 10 MB, then they won’t upload to the client section. In this case you could divide your files into folders that are smaller than 10 MB or your could use an online ftp program.

The easiest option for this would be to go to “Yousendit.com” (http://www.yousendit.com):

  1. In the yousendit homepage’s “Send a File Now” box, please enter admin@imagexmedia.com into the “Recipient Email”, your own email, and a “Subject”.
  2. Then you can click “Browse” or “Choose File” for the “Select a File” field.
  3. A window will pop up and allow you to look for your file on your hard drive.
  4. Click on the zipped folder that you’d like to send and then click “Choose” at the bottom of the window.
  5. Click on the green “Send it” button.
