The UCSF Diabetes Center website is the home of essential information for students, professors and members of the public interested in participating in clinical trials. As such, it was vital that the information be presented in a clear and easy-to-navigate fashion. The old site had blocks of text arranged haphazardly across many pages, making the information difficult to access. The site was also lacking a content management system, which made updating and maintaining the site a cumbersome and time-consuming process.
