Yucatan Today is a recognized leader in the Mexican travel industry, both in print and on the web. The traffic on their old website was growing rapidly, but the site was becoming too cumbersome to maintain and wasn’t able to handle the volume or complexity of the company’s needs. So we stepped in and revamped the whole site from the inside out, transforming it into a high-performing, modern and professional site.
Using Drupal as the CMS, we created a number of specialized functions, including a search system for lodging, events and restaurant listings, a poll, social networking options, a forum, maps, newsletter sign-up and other webforms. We also implemented an article classification and display system that allows the folks at Yucatan Today to publish articles according to categories such as “Destinations” and subcategories such as “Archaeological Sites”, “Beaches” and “Colonial Towns.” Thanks to all these new user-friendly features, your next trip to Mexico just got a little bit easier.
