ProjectONE12 Does ImageX! (And a Team Promo Video)

My name is Maeghan, I am a Calgary born and raised girl on a mission since graduating from University called ProjectONE12. I am interning in ten companies in one hundred & twelve days across North America in search of my dream job. I had the opportunity to work at Fotolia in Calgary, Adobe MAX in LA, BBDO in Toronto, Dealmaker Media in San Francisco, Trico Charitable Foundation in Calgary and now at ImageX Media here in Vancouver!

VIDEO: Working at ImageX

Wondering what it’s like to work at ImageX? The Career Center at UBC’s Sauder School of Business is working on a video feature of some of the companies in the co-op program, so we put together this video for a taste of what it’s like to work at ImageX. We had a little fun with the superhero theme from the website, and have cameos by some of our web superheroes in the office. Interesting fact: the entire video was shot using an iPhone 4 (with some help from After Effects). (You can view it in high definition by selecting 720p in the YouTube video above)

The Importance of Usability Testing

When you designed and built your website you likely had a goal (or goals) in mind of what exactly you wanted user to do when they got there. Whether you’re selling a product, service or your site has some other call to action, you or your team have likely sat in a lot of website meetings debating questions like these: “If we move the (whatever) button “here” will it bring in more business or cause people to abandon our website?” “What information should be featured on the home page? Is this too much text?
