What They Needed
The goal of the International Partnership for Microbicides (IPM) is to prevent HIV transmission by accelerating the development and availability of safe and effective microbicides and other HIV-prevention methods for use by women in developing countries. IPM's new website needed to inform, educate and engage the public and the HIV-research community about the important role microbicides can play in HIV prevention. The site required an upgrade to Drupal 7 and implementation of a series of custom features and visual improvements.
How We Helped
ImageX provided design consulting and built a robust site for IPM that allows them to easily update and organize a vast amount of information. Features include a rotating banner, webforms, events listing, FAQ system, tagging and categorization, a blog, RSS aggregation, media support, SEO, custom newsletter designs, publication listings and archives, advanced mapping, custom user roles, intranet and more. This functionality, combined with the streamlined, user-friendly design, means that IPM can effectively communicate with and engage its audience about the important issue of HIV prevention.
The launch of the new site went well and it has been working smoothly for the client with minimal changes required after launch. We provided support post-launch that included answering questions and requests from the client and continued communication when unexpected issues emerged.
"Project management was one of their strongest attributes in terms of keeping to deadlines. They also have a lot of deep technical knowledge of Drupal, which came in very handy in terms of helping us with module customization." — Technical Communications Officer, Research Center
