Overview

ImageX handled web development for Massachusetts Maritime Academy. In addition to migrating the client's platform to Drupal 8, we executed discovery, design, and development phases, and now continue to provide maintenance.

What They Needed

The client brought on ImageX to migrate their website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 while applying their new branding to the new website and assisting in a content overhaul.

How We Helped

ImageX went through a planning stage with the client. The client’s team supplied the design work to ImageX and through discovery calls with their internal constituents, we explored the most efficient method of delivery with Drupal 8.

We collaborated with the client to create a number of custom blocks, as well as used a layout builder to allow for more flexibility in using different design pieces on various pages, than with their previous Drupal 7 build.

From the discovery session, we promptly continued into the development sprints, taking each piece at a time in the build and reviewing them at the end of each sprint. The client was able to execute an extensive content overhaul, with ImageX supporting the goal of the new website, which was to eliminate outdated or unnecessary content to show to a prospective student.

After launch, the client signed a service agreement to incorporate additional ADA compliance and optimization that would allow for users to easily use adaptive or accessible technology on their site.
