Yuriy’s job is to make magic happen. At least, that’s how it appears. As Senior Drupal Developer, he takes our clients’ dreams and turns them into reality – molding existing modules to his will and creating new ones out of thin air.

Although he has been involved in web development for over ten years, Yuriy has been focusing on open source technologies for the past five. Before joining the ImageX team, he worked at several interactive media firms, developing large-scale social networks and web applications. He’s at home in all stages of the development process, including IA, wireframes, design and theming – which means he can hit the ground running at any stage of the process and deliver quality solutions to any problem.

Yuriy on Drupal: Drupal is one of the most versatile and powerful frameworks in the open source community. It is a pleasure to work with and the Drupal community is outstanding. With every new update, web development becomes easier and more powerful.

Yuriy’s favourite projects: I’ve developed a lot of sites from start to finish, but some of my favourites are the Canada Home Guide, Future Shop Mobile Ratings and the California Academy of Family Physicians – and, of course, the Polar Express site. Who doesn’t love The Polar Express?

In his free time: When I’m not working I can usually be found exploring the West Coast (and surrounding race tracks!) on my motorcycle. Wintertime means snowboarding, and lots of it! British Columbia is such a beautiful place – the scenery is stunning and there is a huge variety of things to do. If only we could have less rain!
