Overview.

The City of Burnaby needed a long-term partner to support and maintain their Drupal sites: burnaby.ca, foodburnaby.ca, and golfburnaby.ca. The partnership required working with their hosting partner and collaborating with their Marketing and IT teams to ensure the sites are secure, up to date, operationally supported, fully functional, and is continuously improving.

What They Needed.

The previous City of Burnaby’s corporate website, Burnaby.ca, consisted of a single Drupal code base hosted with Acquia and the client needed a support partner to maintain website support, such as CMS security. The City of Burnaby also needed support for the development of new features, website improvements and enhancements.

How We Helped.

We conducted the following support activities across their sites:

  • Sustainment of websites — Apply Drupal updates and patches
  • Maintain existing capabilities — Ongoing support of bugs, features, and small enhancement requests
  • Improve existing capabilities — Review existing analytics and user behaviour, propose improvements, prioritize and backlog grooming, and feature research, design, development, and implementation
  • New website enhancements — Feature research, design, development, and implementation

In addition, documentation and training on all relevant solutions, systems and processes, were provided as needed.

Words from the client.

ImageX is a true partner for our organization, working exceptionally well with our core website team comprising of members from our IT and Marketing and Corporate Communications departments.

They feel like an extension of our team and we feel confident in putting our trust in them to maintain, enhance and improve our Drupal websites. They are experts in the field and have assisted us in a number of projects, from security patches and core modules upgrades, to troubleshooting bug fixes, and building out brand new content types.

The Results.

We started with a short-term service agreement supporting two sites and now we support a third site with a long-term contract in place to maintain, support, and enhance the City’s sites.
