Open House Event Dec 13, 2012
Dec 21 2012
Last week we opened our doors and hosted an Open House. We wanted to invite over friends, industry peers, and job seekers to check out our digs, have a snack, and meet our team in real life. It also gave those potential job seekers a way to get to know us in a non-interview setting. Guests were welcomed by our Marketing Coordinator Brett and HR Coordinator Gabrielle who helped them get signed in. The best part of the sign in? We had custom name tags made - the “Hello, my name is” kind, but custom to a web dev shop. They were: * “Hello, I’m a Developer” * “Hello, I’m a Project Manager” * “Hello, I’m a BA” * “Hello, I’m just here for the party” After guests signed in, they were introduced to someone on our team with similar interests and experiences (Project Managers with our PMs, Developers with one of our Devs, and so on). Throughout the night, guests enjoyed a smorgasbord of snacks and desserts while they socialized with each other and networked. The highlight of the night was a Coding Challenge that Kevin Hu, one of our developers came up with. The room quickly fell quiet as guests and our developers, sitting side-by-side at two of our Macs, engaged in a problem-solving, code competition. It was a good laugh and the winners all took home a gift card. It was a fantastic chance to meet individuals interested in ImageX and curious enough to come down and check us out. We built "our team":http://imagexmedia.com/about by hiring based on fit to "our culture":http://imagexmedia.com/about. Having an event like this helps introduce us to more of those right people. Interested in a career at ImageX but missed our Open House? Check out current vacancies or fill out an Open Application on our "careers page":http://imagexmedia.com/jobs.
