Join ImageX and Siteimprove for Global Accessibility Awareness Day

May 06 2021
In celebration of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we’re excited to have partnered with Siteimprove to bring to you insights on making the user experience the forefront of your website.

Our goal is to continuously advocate for the inclusivity of all users by removing barriers that prevent interaction with or access to websites. As the digital landscape becomes increasingly aware of the need to make navigation more inclusive for people with disabilities and impairments, organizations are quickly learning that improving their accessibility does not have to end at web compliance. So what are the steps we can take beyond compliance to give users the best digital experience?

Join us on May 20th at 12 pm CT and register for Bjorn Thomson, Dave Bezuidenhout, and Laura Ballay’s presentation: Go Beyond Compliance; an Accessibility Case Study with ImageX.

Learn more about a recent project designed to improve both user experience and compliance for a Drupal theme used by a large number of sites. Within the project, we collaborated with both a client and a team of manual testers to go beyond "checking a box" and ensure a positive experience for all users.

Make sure to register for this session if you are looking for the tools and processes to improve your site’s accessibility, effective approaches to collaboration and project management, application of web accessibility best practices, as well as tips on building a strong case in making tangible improvements to your site’s accessibility.

As well, stay on top of the emerging tools to help your site remain up to speed on accessibility. Siteimprove has now released a brand new version of their popular Accessibility Checker; a Chrome extension that evaluates your site’s accessibility based on the latest ACT (Accessibility Conformance Testing) rules. Easily check your web pages directly in Google Chrome and get immediate recommendations to fix the identified accessibility issues.

In collaboration with Siteimprove, we’re excited to transform your perspective on inclusive user experience. To stay updated on #GAAD news, follow us on Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook and learn more about what accessibility can do to make your website more inclusive for your users.
