We’re proud to have an amazing and diverse global team of Drupal experts, each bringing their own unique talents to the table — from code wizardry to creative ideas. Thanks to our hybrid and remote work model, our North America, Latin America, and Europe teams work together seamlessly across time zones to craft outstanding Drupal experiences for you.
But how do you truly unite a global team? In our case, the magic formula included sparkling sea, dazzling sunlight, swaying palm trees, and warm Caribbean hospitality. Yet none of that would have mattered without the real magic: our team’s friendliness, kindness, openness, and genuine desire to connect beyond the screen. Colleagues flew in from all corners of the world, proving that distance is just a number when the bond is real.
Mexico became the perfect backdrop for the ImageX Global Summit 2025. Let’s just say — it was una fiesta inolvidable! Even now, it’s hard to believe it really happened; the memories feel so vivid, like a dream beneath the Mexican sun. Brightest highlights from ImageX Global Summit 2025
The joy of meeting teammates in person
Some of us had crossed paths before, but for many, it felt almost surreal to finally meet face-to-face. It was the first time someone hugged the teammate who had helped them through a tricky project launch, or raised a glass with the colleague whose work had inspired them from afar.
The Summit gave us the perfect chance to truly connect — and that’s why you see that our photos are so filled with hugs, laughter, and big smiles. Some of us even shed a few tears… but only when it was time to say goodbye.
From collaborating side by side, to sharing stories over lunch at the hotel buffet, lounging under the sun by the pool, learning words from each other’s languages, dancing under the stars, and jumping into fun challenges — we made the most of every moment together.
The “summer” vibes
For many of us, arriving in Cancún felt like stepping straight into summer. Back home, our cities were just beginning to shake off the cold and tiptoe into spring — but here, it was full-on sunshine mode.
Even though it was technically April, the tropical warmth, bright Mexican sun, beach strolls, and poolside chillouts made it feel like midsummer magic. Sunscreen and sunglasses quickly became our go-to gear — the ultimate “tech stack” for enjoying the heat without getting toasted.

Co-working and celebrating team values at the Summit
Even with Mexico’s irresistible charm all around us, we professionals stay professionals — and we made time to get work done. The Summit gave us a rare and valuable chance to ask questions face-to-face, especially with colleagues who are true experts in their fields. And although the Internet wasn’t flawless everywhere, we managed to stay connected with our customers through calls and Slack, making sure everything kept running smoothly.
There’s just something special about gathering around a real table instead of a virtual one — in-person teamwork just hits differently.
The Summit was also a perfect moment to celebrate what makes our team special and what helps us go above and beyond in building exceptional Drupal projects. We live by our core values, and through an all-team vote at the Summit, we honored the team members who embody them in excess over the week.
Awards were given in categories like “Authentic Optimism,” “Quality Obsessed,” “Succeeding Together,” “Always Evolving,” and “Effective Communication.” It was a heartfelt reminder of the strengths that drive us — both as individuals and as one united team.
The team challenges
Of course, being in Mexico, we had to spice things up — and what better way than with some fun and friendly competition? Our team challenges added just the right kick to the Summit experience. We split into groups and let our creativity run wild in a series of lighthearted (and often hilarious) contests.
From designing team logos and building sand sculptures to creative poses in a photo challenge, we truly brought our A-game. The photo themes were as colorful as Cancún itself — recreating iconic movie scenes, channeling the drama of a telenovela with passions hotter than the Caribbean sun, starring in horror snapshots, or playfully posing as “lost in Cancún.”
Let’s just say we uncovered a few hidden acting (and directing) talents along the way. As a fun twist, the teams were using Mexico’s symbols like hot peppers, tacos, toucan birds, palm trees, and more. It also seemed like the whole team collectively switched to Spanish — like selecting a new language setting on a multilingual Drupal site. Spanish was everywhere: in team names, logo designs, and photo captions. ¡Todo fue increíble!
Sand as a special kind of art
The soft white sand of Cancún became more than just a backdrop — it became a canvas. During the sand sculpture challenge, our team’s creativity truly shone, turning sand into works of art.
One of the brightest highlights was coming together to shape the word “ImageX” in the sand — large enough to be seen from above. In that moment, one of our core values, “Succeeding Together,” came to life in the most literal and unforgettable way.
Finding the brightest colors
Mexico is a country that celebrates color in every corner — and the nearby Hacienda was a perfect example. Its bold, vibrant decorations made a stunning backdrop for our group photos, each shot radiating energy and joy.
But beyond enjoying the scenery, we made a very important discovery: purple might just be the best color in the world (no debate). Even more meaningful, though, were the true colors we found in each other — kindness, fun, and a shared spirit that made every moment unforgettable.
Karaoke stars
The Summit turned out to be the perfect stage to uncover some hidden singing talents! Our team nailed it during the karaoke sessions — each performance overflowing with heart and personality. At least some of the songs were in English, French, and Portuguese. From our global multilingual crew — with love, avec amour, and com amor!
Exploring the ancient ruins of Tulum
The most adventurous part of our team went to explore the ancient ruins of Tulum. Bathed in the golden glow of the sun, they walked among the old stone buildings, learning about the history of the Mayan people.
With the bright blue sea in the background and iguanas lounging nearby, it felt like stepping into another world. Our teammates took lots of photos and enjoyed the exciting view together — a special moment that brought the group even closer.
As you look at the photos of the most ancient ruins, it almost feels like there’s the ghost of Drupal 7 lingering among them — a joke, of course… but with just a hint of truth.

Looking back, the ImageX Global Summit 2025 was more than just a company event — it was a chance to connect, grow, and create lasting memories together. From team-building moments to shared laughter and new friendships, every part of the experience reminded us how strong and special our global team really is. Every team member is grateful for this amazing opportunity to get together!
The Summit was yet another reminder that what once seemed impossible — or at least extremely challenging — can, in fact, be achieved. Our team is pushing the limits of what’s possible, and that’s truly inspiring. We’ve returned to our daily work recharged, more connected than ever, and with a renewed sense of purpose — and yes, we’re already dreaming about the next time we gather!
